Album Review: Enuff Z'Nuff, "Animals With Human Intelligence"

A little time to live with animals is essential. Why? Coz this is an outing that grows with repeated playz. Twelve tracks trip the light fantastic between breezy dancerama "The Love Train," chemical psychedelia ala the band's late 60s mentors, "Taking a Ride," and the darkest of power filled rock n' roll, "Mary Anne Lost Her Baby."

However, the band aren't about to let anyone forget life ain't all plain sailing. Like "Mary Anne," both "Black Rain" and "Master of Pain" hold warnings within their intense musical dramas.

Despite its somewhat cynical view of romanticism, the wistful string and ivory littered strains of "Innocence" provides my personal fave; though whichever way you look at it Animals... is a full blast rock n' roller's album. There are no zzz's here, just four stars ready to take the world by a storm.
