Live Review: Anthrax/ Public Enemy / Wolfsbane, Brixton Academy, 12th January, 1992

January saw ANTHRAX put on their eclectic show at the Brixton Academy being enjoined by PUBLIC ENEMY and WOLFSBANE. This was a gathering to push the "stupid racist" barriers even further into the shadows. The wolf ones aroused a good reception, leaving Public Enemy to take it 10 stages higher.

Flashing police lights cut the air leaving Flavor Flav and Chuck D raking in the crowd's attention and boosting the euphoria. With Terminator X spinning the discs, they couldn't do a thing wrong. This only left Anthrax to sap the last bits of energy from the by now shot bodies crushing together.

Entering with a "Blues Brothers" intro, they gave it their all, having to work double time to match what had gone before. "NFL," "Indians," and "Keep It In The Family" batted through the atmosphere, but the action really took place when those otherwise disinterested parties swelled the glutinous mass, already heaving, when PE joined Anthrax for "Bring the Noize."
