Hailing from Sheffield, England, the Comsat Angels took their name from a story by the dystopian novelist J.G.Ballard. Part of the post-punk/new wave movement, they released nine albums between 1980 and 1995. This track Close Your Eyes is off their fifth studio album 7 Day Weekend released in 1985. The album title is a reference to the extremely high youth unemployment in post-industrial British cities like Sheffield in the 1980s. This album is now very hard to find and will set you back more than $200 on Amazon.
