Live Review: Guns N' Roses/ Skid Row, Great Western Forum, Inglewood, 29th July, 1991

GUNS N' ROSES (and SKID ROW) have rarely sounded better or more inspired. For two-and-a-half hours the band performed 10 songs from the not-yet-released albums, Use Your Illusion I and II. Between songs, Axl told the audience that they had just finished the new album:

"The motherfucker is done... It's amazing the amount of pressure that people can exert on five drug addicts."
At times, pushing his voice to a degree of hoarseness, the unshaven singer was absolutely brilliant throughout. Opening act Skid Row (whose album Slave to the Grind took a bow at #1 on the charts here) put on a show that sent chills around the audience.

Despite what has been written about Sebastian Bach, this is a dynamic, pure rock performer that loves his music and his audience. Encore song, "I Remember You" had great harmonies and Sebastian close to tears due to the audience reaction. Overall, one of the best shows i have ever seen in LA! (Backstage, Sebastian told me that she is looking forward to playing Wembley... Don't miss it!).
