This shot was one of several press images taken to accompany the release of This Is PiL, the first Public Image album in 20 years. The former Sex Pistol and singer of Public Image Ltd., who was 55 at the time, is shown against a grimy background with a suggestion of a halo-slash-gun sight that ironically reflects on his elevated status and notoriety.
