If you want to see a great gig, check out someone like KT Tunstall, whose career is essentially built on her ability to cut it live rather than in the studio. Since stunning the audience on BBC live music show Later… with Jools Holland with her deftly managed pedalled-up acoustic and husky singing back in 2004, Tunstall has been one of the hardest working women in show business, toting her road-tested pop-with-rough-edges around the world on a regular basis. Her third studio album, Tiger Suit, which she tours here later this month, attempts to push fans to the dancefloor, adding uptempo synth and drum machine energy to the Scottish singer's raw, emotion and guitar-thumping prowess.
March 30, O-East, Shibuya
(The show was cancelled due to a fear of radioactive leaks from the Fukushima Nuclear Reactors damaged in the Great Tohoku and Kanto Earthquake.)
