Album Review, Various, "Hollywood Shocks - A Rock Album"

SACRED REICH have the fullest crack of the whip with two previously unreleased tracks. "A Question" opens up proceedings, while "Let's Have a War" closes them in average thrashin' style.

WORLD WAR III offer the plain, ordinary "Love You to Death."

Despite not hearing HEAD CANDY before, "Words to Live By" makes me want to catch more of 'em, which is the whole point of this compilation, ain't it?

As with Head Candy, I'd not heard MOTORPSYCHO before. The well-documented sleeve biogs tell me if I don't like their "Scarred for Life" I'm too damn old. Well, I must be 93. What's your excuse?

Due to its cheap pricing, Shocks ain't a bad sampler, but it ain't that great either. I'll be generous and give it a...
