Death And Progress is the album that DIAMOND HEAD should have made to follow up their excellent Living On Borrowed Time debut. Whether or not the hyperbole that Lars Ulrich began is fundamental to their return is of no consequence as Diamond Head have to be judged by the material here. And the judge gives a thumbs up.
Sean Harris's ever evocative vocals roller-coast through emotions backed by Brian Tatler's intuitive guitar work. "Star Crossed (Lovers of the Night)", "Calling Your Name," and "I Can't Help Myself" are each cut from such fine metals, it makes one wonder how they let it all slip away the first time around.
