Live Review: Mr. Big, Great Western Forum, Inglewood, California, 20th June, 1991

"If you're a red hot firecracker I will light your fuse."
...and a fuse was lit by MR. BIG at their recent Forum concert. Eric Martin's vocals, backed by bass virtuoso, Billy Sheehan, and guitarist Paul Gilbert blew the fans away with their jeweling drills during "Daddy, Brother, Lover, Little boy," a song which according to the band should be called "Ode to Billy Sheehan."

Playing a set that consisted of songs mostly from their latest release Lean Into It, the band rocked through such tunes as "A Little Too Loose," which has Sheehan singing the very low parts along with his incredible bass playing, and the hippie, free love sounding song "Green Tinted Sixties Mind."

Gilbert, who wrote the music and words, said he:
"....got the idea from this weird movie I was watching from the 60s that had a bizarre green tint to it. It's basically about Janice Joplin and how she would still be stuck in the 60s if she were around to day."
